Life's too short!
I have been getting crap for not updating, but the truth is Life's too short. I guess I could stay up late since Gracie is now sleeping through the night..YEAH...but I just don't want to miss out on life or my sleep because I am on the computer to much. Kids grow up so fast! I don't want to miss a thing, although today I was feeling a little different in the chaos. I just hate getting so caught up in this that my kids have to compete for my attention. I need to find a happy medium! It sounds so easy. Kudos to all of you who can do it all, be a mom, cook dinner every night, blog, etc. I've found that I have to take time for myself and for my kids and sometimes this just gets put on the back burner, not to mention Pete. What happened to the date night once a week? I thought summer was supposed to be relaxing, sitting on the beach sipping a pina colada, oh that's what a vacations for. We are loving the summertime though, swimming, t-ball, park day, snow cones, carnivals, fireworks, barbecues, tinfoil dinners up the canyon, and soon to be soccer. We have been working on our house, and in the yard so that's another good excuse (these are just to make myself feel better). It's amazing what you can get accomplished with no distractions from t.v. I have so many fun things to post so hopefully, here we go again!

WoW 10 YEARS! Already?
(It took me forever to post this!)
Today is our 10-year anniversary. That sounds CRAZY. We are like seasoned veterans by this point. I still remember the first day I met Mr. Peter Pratt. I moved out the summer of '98 to a little place called Branbury apartments in good old Provo. Quite exotic really. Hey it was a big step for me. I was working at the hospital and having fun with my roommates, Malena and Melanie. Then Mr. Pratt and a couple of friends decided to invite themselves in. We already had a group of people over and they wanted to join the party I guess. We said "hi" & introduced ourselves. Pete actually thought I was sitting next to my boyfriend on the couch . . . but found out the next day it was just a friend from our ward. Notice I said the next day. Yes, they came back again and again. He helped himself to my popsicles and Marshmallow Maties. I was too poor to have anything else in my cupboards except maybe a little Top Ramen. Disgusting!!! I don't know how I survived? It was history from then on. We went to a movie on our first date to see Les Miserable, but didn't have our first kiss until much later. That happened in the back seat of my roommate’s car on the way to the sand dunes. Romantic huh? He was different from any other guy I had known. I was having way too much fun dating but I couldn't help myself. This guy was the one for me. We had a blast that summer. We swam and soaked in the rays, stayed up late, had bonfires up the canyon, went to Peter Breinholdt concerts up at Sundance, ran through sprinklers, watched the Jazz playoffs and were inseparable. He won my heart and by the beginning of Oct., the 1st actually, he proposed. We married that February the 19th of 1999. Here we are 10 years and three kids later. What great guy I have in my life. I couldn't have it any better. I was lucky enough to marry my best friend and partner in crime. Thanks for loving me(more that I deserve sometimes), putting up with me, working so hard for us, being a wonderful Dad, helping me to be a better person, being supportive, wanting me to fulfill my dreams, and going on this journey with me. I can't imagine what we have in store for us but if it's anything like the last 10 years, I'm looking forward to it!!!

Gracie turned 6months old today!
I can't believe she's 6months old. It's true that time goes way too fast. Here are 6 reasons why I love my baby.

1) Because she is so YUMMY.
2) Because she loves her neck and cheeks kissed.

3) Because she has the stinkin' cutest giggle.
4) Because she makes me happy.

5) Because she is a cuddle bug.
6) Because she is all mine...well, I do have to share her with Pete.

***Most importantly because she loves me unconditionally.***(It was hard to just do 6)
I can think of so many other reasons too, like the little sounds she makes and I'm not talking about gas either, which she has a lot of. She takes after her papa!!! I just crave her even though I'm with her 24/7. I love to watch her little mind work. There's so much going on in that little head of hers. It's cute to watch her sit up and tip over and sit up and tip over. I know I'm gonna miss all this. She is our last baby. I sure won't miss the blow-outs though...like the one at church this last Sunday. Thanks to those of you who loaned me the blanket and spare outfit by the way. You saved me. Love you Miss Gracie!!!

A Much Happier Baby
I had to post some happy pictures of Gracie. She is a Happy Girl most of the time and she is getting more fun by the minute. She's starting to sit up by herself, eat baby food, roll over, jibber jabber, and giggle all the time. It's so funny she starts to laugh at the kids for no reason. On Monday night Gracie was watching Kaybrie do her homework and just busted out laughing. It was soo funny. I've never seen Parker laugh so hard. He was out of breath. Gracie sure knows how to put us all in a good mood. All she has to do is look at you, raise her dark little eyebrows and a smile lights up her whole face. It makes you melt. I LOVE this girl!!!

Gracie has got some lungs!!!
Well I have been meaning to post these for a while. My friend Jyl sent me this hat and booties (which she makes herself) when I had Gracie. When I put them on her to take her pic she, well, hated it. They were super cute but she is kind of a stink and hates hats. Thanks Jyl! I will always have these pics to remember the cutest hat Gracie would never wear. I'll have to get some for her when she's gets older!!!

Extreme close-up. Yikes!

You can imagine what this sounded like.

Now imagine at all hours of the night. Okay that wasn't fair. She's been sick. I love her to pieces, don't worry.
